On Tuesday July 5th 2011, the Lord graciously blessed Sammy and I with the most precious gift from above. A beautiful baby girl. Her name is Saylah Joelle Cosa. She weighed in at 6 pounds 1 ounce and 19 inches long.  Saylah is the most perfect gift. I love her with all my heart and would give up my life for her. Sammy and I can gaze at Saylah all day long. She is seriously, and we mean SERIOUSLY the most beautiful baby girl in the entire world. These last few days were filled with, first of all, pain….(naturally)…laughter, joy, splendor, and of course tears. I have learned so much this last week. It is so amazing how God created us mothers to quickly adjust to our new life-style. The waking hours, the sleepless nights, the difficulty of not understanding what’s going on, and the simplicity that I’ve learned to live out only now.

Saylah,
First of all, I love you. You are more precious to me than anything in the entire world. I desire only beautiful things for you. I pray for you every hour in the day. I pray the Lord will grow you into a girl of God. I pray that you grow healthy and strong. I pray that you will love God and love others. I pray that when trials come your way you will run to the One who loves you more than anyone can in this life. I want you to know that I am here for you and always will be. I want you to know that your Daddy loves you with more than words can express and can hardly be away from you for more than five minutes. I want you to know that you have aunties and uncles, grandmas and grandpas, and yes even friends (already) who are going to make you laugh and who will share so many special moments with you. I am so blessed to have you in my life. I don’t even know what to say any more, except that, these last days following your birth, have been the most beautiful moments of my life. I have tasted yet another of God’s most magnificent blessings. You.

With all my love. With all my heart,
Mommy

Saylah had her first Photo Shoot with her Daddy. While I was resting, Sammy snapped the
following photos. Saylah was only 3 days young:) I hope you enjoy them as much
as I have. Each and every one brings a smile to my face. And a few tears:)

So precious.

We kiss her tiny feet at least a thousand times a day!

Sleeping beauty.

Saylah LOVES to smile for us!

Happy baby:)

And finally, a few candid photos:

The Beginning.

Saylah's Nursery

Color theme for Saylah’s nursery: Yellow and Gray.  Sammy and I never fancied bright pink or purple for baby girls. I’m a neutral kind of girl. But I can’t say that I don’t like pink entirely. Because I do adore pinks and purples in soft pastels. But we chose yellow and gray because we love the calmness it symbolizes and contributes to our busy yet simple life. Saylah is our sunshine, she makes us happy when skies are gray. Hence, the yellow displayed over the gray.

Here's a look into our very first nursery. We hope you enjoy viewing these photos! We had a blast putting this room together (it was once our Photography studio... We welcome the new change!) We hope all the following information will be helpful!

Enjoy browsing through our nursery!

Welcome to Saylah's nursery. We super-glued a real wooden heart to the entrance of Saylah's room. We love her and can't wait to meet her! She already has our entire hearts!

Banner: A special thanks goes out to our sister Jane Cosa from Creative Jane. She hand-made each flag. We are beyond blessed to have her in our life. And we know Saylah will be too! She is going to be such a great Aunt.

Framed Quotes: Sammy custom designed each frame throughout the nursery. Each quote or graphic plays a special meaning in our life. We received our design inspiration from Sugarfresh’s store at Etsy.com.

Crib Bedding: “Sweet Sunshine Collection” by Migi. You can find more Migi collections at Wal-Mart orBunksnstuff.com. Crib: WalMart.com. The crib is by Graco, and it transforms from a baby crib to a toddler bed, to a twin bed. How cool is that?

Figurines - Sammy's gift to me for my very first Mother's Day. He ordered them from Willow Tree. They carry all sorts of figurines for every season in life. Seriously. Every season. Whether you’re getting married, having a baby, or going to be a grandparent. Willow Tree is an awesome store. Need creative gifts? Visit them today.

Every Christmas it's our tradition to go to Color Me Mine and create something meaningful. Before we knew the gender of our baby, Sammy painted this little sailboat. We LOVE the ocean, and we absolutely LOVE anchors. It means so much to the both of us! You can read why, here.

Changing Table: Wal-Mart. Gotta love WalMart…well sometimes. ;) They have been good to us this time!
Fluffy gray carpet: Ikea

Comfy rocking chair: Ikea.

Camera/Photography Onesies & Bib: With much searching and browsing the web, I found the perfect onesies and bibs. They totally resemble who we are and the passion God has gifted us with! Saylah is going to look so adorable in them.
